Mary Ola Heathcock married Fred Jones, son of a physician from Brock Creek Arkansas. The Jones family, which included a son, Randy, and a daughter, Mollie, lived in Stockdale until the late 1940s. Fred and Mary Ola Jones were great country music fans, and used to listen to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio every Saturday night. Around 1950, they drove to Nashville for a vacation, primarily to see their favorite entertainers live. They liked Nashville so much that they stayed there.
43Mary Ola died of died from complications of breast cancer while hospitalized at General Hospital, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee June 23, 1977.
