Coalgate man dies in road wreck3864
FROM STAFF REPORTS ATOKA -A Coalgate man died in an accident about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 3 near Forrest Hill Road, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers said Samuel Clyde Tumey III, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries. His wife, Roxana Tumey, 46, was taken to a Tulsa hospital by helicopter with trunk, head and leg injuries.
Samuel Tumey was a passenger in the vehicle driven by his wife. Troopers said the vehicle began driving erratically as it traveled westbound crossing four lanes of traffic before striking an unoccupied logging truck parked on the shoulder of the road.
